Drop your chin and stick your head out to the camera. If it feels a little strange-you are probably doing the pose right. Sticking your head out takes care of all the stuff happening with your neck and people want to connect with your eyes and not your chin area! Keep it Simple! And less is usually more!

And a bonus tip here if you are going to have the professional photographer make a three quarters body shot to go along with any headshots-wear something that fits well. Put some distance between your body and arms. Don’t have your hands doing exactly the same thing at the same height-mix it up a bit-one higher and one lower! Make space between your arms and torso. You’ll look thinner. And everyone wants to appear thinner!

Clothing-get fitted clothing-proper fit is key. No patterns solid colors are best for a professional look. Wear something that is super comfortable.

If you wear an oversized shirt-you’ll look and feel like a large blob. You aren’t modeling the clothes. If the clothes take away from your face it’s too much and you should look for something else. Keep it simple!
