Who is the portrait photography package for?

In this ever-changing world that we live in- it’s now more important than ever that you have a professional headshot that makes you look confident, knowledgable and friendly. In this new world it is often the only time a client or interviewer gets to see you is in a photograph. You should really have a great image. I’ll make headshots for all your social media, as well. Don’t substitute your best self with a bad selfie!

How many images are included in this package?

Two edited image or file. I’ll save them in two ways- one very small file for the web and a super large file for paper publishing or making prints. I’ll deliver them on my business account Dropbox folder and you’ll see the entire shoot in a PDF formet.

Does this photography package include image retouching?

I will retouch the files that are chosen by you. I’ll take out anything that won’t be there in the next couple of weeks and smooth your skin.

Will I get edited or raw photos?

We do not sell RAW files. The photographer keeps all the original files and has copyright of those files.

Where does the photography session take place?

The photo session can take place at your office or at my studio in Mount Holly, NC just minutes south of Uptown Charlotte at 107 west Central Avenue. My studio is above Awaken Gallery on the second floor. You get access to the second floor by walking up the stairway on the left side of the building outside. I do share the studio with other artists including Laura Mueller of Laura Mueller Photography.

How long does this photography session take?

This really depends on the person coming in to be shot-not by the photographer. You may want to bring in two tops, eight tops or twelve tops. It really doesn’t matter. I want you to be happy with how you appear in your image. That’s the important thing-that the client is happy with the photography. And it takes some people longer to warm up to the camera than others. You’ll get to see the entire shoot on my ipad in real time-just to make sure you get what you want.

You can send me a check by putting that check in the US Postal Service or you can use Zelle.

I’m nervous, what do you suggest I do to prepare for this session?

Don’t be nervous, we work with people of all colors, sizes and genders all the time who have never been photographed! I have lots of info to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I am a professional. I have worked for five newspapers and a weekly sports magazine as a staff photographer and made dozens of portraits for magazines, advertisements and individuals as well. I have seen and worked with them all. If you aren’t smiling at the end and as you walk out-I haven’t done my job.

What colors should I wear or avoid?

The colors don’t really matter just think solid colors that you are comfortable in. Pick clothing that makes you feel comfortable because it will be instantly noticeable if you are uncomfortable. And please don’t wear gaudy, large jewelry. You certainly don’t want to be remembered by that large, ugly broach that you wore to be photographed in. Keep it Simple…
